Did you know we ask each PAMP member to give two hours of volunteer service back to the club? Please check our volunteer section for all of the opportunies within our club!

Below is a detailed description of some of our main events.
In the warmer months, Active Arts meets at the Rinconada Park toddler area in Palo Alto. In cooler weather, it meets at various indoor locations including the Peers Park Field House in Palo Alto . The skills that are involved in the art projects range from painting to gluing and pasting to making rubbings and using stamps, among other things. While the projects will likely produce a take-home item, the emphasis will be on the process rather than the product. Come dressed for mess!
Blanket Babies
Spit up on your shirt? Hair unwashed? Bags under your eyes? And/or nursing and leaking? You’re in the right group! Bring yourself and your pre-crawler to Blanket Babies and visit with others in your happy state.
Blanket Babies is designed for moms or dads with young babies. We meet informally every week to enjoy a morning out with other "new" parents to relax, share stories, and enjoy some adult company. A host is there for at least an hour and half, but the group often stays longer. Feel free to stop by just once or join us every week. All are invited!
This program also hopes to provide a transition for new members and members of the pregnant mothers group, with many graduating into new playgroups as blankets are outgrown!
The Fair allows parents to educate themselves on the various philosophies that are used in preschools (Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia/Play-based, Relationship-based (PITC), cooperative, faith based, etc) as well as an opportunity to find out information about specific schools in their neighborhood. In addition, this year we hope to have a section promoting language immersion preschools.
We expect to have in the range of 50 preschools attending. The cities of Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Mountain View and Los Altos will be well represented, as well as some representative schools from the surrounding cities.
We expect to draw over 200 attendees.
The fair is free for members, and is $5 for non-member families (or free if they join on the day).
The first 15 minutes of the meeting is usually spent socializing, with speakers beginning at 7:00 pm . The date, time and location of the meetings are subject to change, with prior notice to the e-mail list or by announcement in the PAMP Newsletter.
Meetings are adults-only events, so we request that children be left at home. You may bring quiet infants who won't disturb the speakers or audience.
Meetings are free for full members, and are $5 for on-line only subscribers and the general public.
In the past, we've visited a fire station, the Palo Alto Municipal Airport, worked out together at a gym class for moms and kids, and participated in a music class together. Most events are free for members, although a few have a small registration fee.
You must be a member to attend these events.
New Member Socials
New members of The Parents Club of Palo Alto and Menlo Park are invited to attend an informal monthly social where new members meet one another and learn how to make the most of their memberships. Meetings are typically held either on a Thursday evening at 6:30 pm or a Sunday
afternoon at 2:30 pm at the Prolific Oven in Palo Alto. Children are welcome to attend. Parents may also use this opportunity to "take a break" and come without kids. Veteran and board members are always welcome to join the fun. If you have recently joined the Club, check the calendar for our next Orientation and New Member Social.
